Colourful Crows

Flap..! Flap..! Flap..! The crow seemed to be in a very jolly mood..flapping and revolving merrily around his she-crow in the nest embosomed in a tree. Her startled eyes kept moving with her Mr. Merry. A smiled played on my lips as I had almost forgotten that I was over the phone with my sis on the other end.'Are you really listening to me?,'she confirmed. "Nopes..I'm watching the birds :-)"

My fabulous 10 x 10 feet beautiful gallery always turns out to be a quiet spot when i really need to 'focus' on a phone call, rescuing myself from my noisy roommates(..it's also a cool place to glance at the 'real birds'..Shut up Gaurav!!! ) This was before couple of weeks when I noticed these Love Birds making efforts to build their Sweet Home at a joint in a tree, right in front of my gallery.Gathering the weeds and transporting them with their beaks, they made their nest and finally decided to move in together. Mr. & Mrs. Crow(..surely must have ran away from their houses ;-)... )

Days turned..and these 'happening' duo always accompanied me. I curiously watched their activities as i flipped through the pages of the newspaper. Many things about them used to make me wonder. The tree they had chosen as their kingdom(..'Crow'dom now!) wasn't so dense, and thus doesn't seem so safe and secure. 'Crazy..', I mumbled to myself. But time revealed many wonderful aspects of the little nest. It promised them of all the delight and jubilation. They didn't miss the ecstasy of the showers and sprinkles. No damn obstacle could stop the enthralling breeze to strike the buoyant birds; and how the winds used to turn the tree into a swing, as if the apex desires of kissing the earth on which it stands in glory and fame. 'Whatte Life..!!!',I said. The early morning sunshine has given a golden tinge to the 'always so safe' and adventurous abode of the two smart birds. The eight-floor building I live in started to seem so poor !

My sis had finally given up and put down the phone. One lovely sight turned my smiles into giggles. I see a cute little babybird poking his head out of the nest, hopping to catch the food from the beak of Mamma Cool. My curious eyes got fixed on them, as the G-floor restaurant played a pleasant melody-

"Yeh jeevan hai. . Is jeevan ka. . .
Yahi hai..yahi hai..yahi hai rang-roop... :-)"
